"The Biggest Little 5K in the World"

The ISJF in conjunction with the City of Reno, Department of Parks and Recreation, is proud to announce the inaugural "Biggest Little 5K Race in the World"
to be run in historic downtown Reno, Nevada, on Saturday July 19, 2003.

Run Reno 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. and walkers at 7:30 a.m. Runners will be able to register on race day between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. at The Reno Arch. Registration forms are available in many businesses throughout Reno or they can be downloaded from the website: www.runreno.com.

The Course, which starts and ends at The Reno Arch, was designed to give runners an opportunity to achieve the best possible times. Finish Line Productions, using the "ChampionChip" timing system, will record the exact time. This state of the art timing system is used in many of the major road races through out the world.

All Participants will receive a Run Reno Finishers Medal, and special awards will be given along with the title of "Who is the Fastest":

  • Firefighter
  • Law Enforcement Personnel
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Next year, 2004, is an Olympic year and the City of Sacramento is to host the Olympic trials. Run Reno plans on inviting the top athletes from these Olympic trails, national television coverage and turn "the Biggest Littke 5K in the World" into an international destination event.
